What is a virtual assistant?

A

A virtual assistant is a self-employed person who provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients remotely from a home office.

How is a virtual assistant different from an employee?

A

A virtual assistant is a freelance worker who is compensated on a project-to-project basis. If you were to hire an employee, you would be accountable for wages, insurance, sick leave, overtime, vacation, equipment costs, and taxes. When working with a virtual assistant, you are only responsible for paying the agreed upon rate. All taxes, fees, insurance, and equipment costs are handled by the virtual assistant.

What is your availability?

A

Our time is flexible and I work throughout the day with various clients. The general turnaround time for projects is anywhere from 24-48 hours.

Where are you located?

A

We are located all across North America. While we are available to assist remotely we have people local to Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles, and New York.

What are your credentials?

A

All assistants are University educated and have been working remotely for years.

Can you work certain times of the day for me?

A

With enough notice we can meet your needs. We would never agree to accept work we cannot make time for. Feel free to reach out to us to see discuss your needs.

Do I have to train you?

A

Sometimes. Each assistant has an abundance of knowledge having worked with clients in the past, but every job has its own specifics. There may be inventory, software, or requirements that our staff are not familiar with.

Do I need to micromanage you?

A

No, definitely not, but I would recommend providing support until the Assistant is familiar with the specifics of your business needs.

Will you work independently?

A

Yes, although, we are always available by phone, email, and chat.

Is there a minimum amount of hours per month?

A

Yes, we require a minimum of 5 hours per client each month.

What are the maximum amount of hours?

A

There is no limitations at this time.

When is payment due?

A

Payment is always due in advance.

Q

What if I run out of hours during a project?

A

Our staff will let you know before that happens. If you require more hours for project completion we can charge an hourly rate.

What is billable?

A

All work including communication is billable. That includes video conferences, phone calls, and chats.
